David is a first generation farmer and rancher, growing cattle, fruit and vegetables on his 20 acre ranch South of Knoxville, TN.
As a chemist by trade, David has a very unique perspective on agriculture. That, combined with the fact that he has learned what he knows from the ground up make him fascinating to visit with and learn from.
Among many other things, today you’ll hear David talk about what he does with the majority of his crop. It’s one of the biggest reasons I wanted our listeners to hear from him, and a truly humanitarian effort.

As you heard, David is a huge proponent of education in general. Not only for himself, as he went at ag from the grassroots level (I hope you heard the shout-out to Extension & Extension Agents?!), but also for consumers, encouraging them to learn all they can about their food sources, the way they’re grown, and why.
I really enjoyed my interview with David, and I learned so much from him,… so a big thanks goes out to him for taking some time during his day to spend with us.
